Caché (2005)
Movie
Released
Anonymous surveillance draws Georges towards a past he would rather keep at a manageable distance. Michael Haneke's final wide view makes looking itself part of the problem: where has your attention been, and what did you want an explanation to absolve? It is a bracing choice for discussing responsibility as well as the identity of whoever may be watching.
