The Others (2001)
Movie

Locked doors, drawn curtains and a household's strict rules turn a country house into an unusually precise instrument of suspense. Nicole Kidman's brittle authority makes each disturbance matter. For viewers who prefer clues woven into atmosphere, this offers the satisfying possibility that a domestic detail and a frightening event may belong to the same explanation.
