Attack the Block (2011)

The young people who begin by threatening a nurse have to negotiate an alliance when aliens reach their South London estate. Joe Cornish makes their knowledge of the buildings and one another useful without erasing the harm of their first encounter. The creatures are beautifully simple, all dark mass and alarming teeth. Choose it for fast, funny ensemble action whose changing loyalties and local geography matter as much as the invasion.
