Jim knowingly wakes Aurora into a life she did not choose, then helps save the ship and offers her the single medical pod that could restore her journey. That offer matters: she is given an alternative before deciding to stay. The difficulty is the leap from emergency heroism to the closing account of a wonderful shared life. Survival establishes gratitude and attachment more convincingly than it establishes repaired trust after such a profound betrayal.

Robbie's return gives Ray a complete family reunion after the film last showed his son running towards battle, followed by devastating explosions. We never saw a confirmed death, so survival is possible. What is missing is the dramatic bridge between those images and his safe arrival in Boston. The reassurance arrives precisely where the film's frightening account of limited parental control has made an unexplained rescue hardest to accept.

Jack confesses that the Beatles songs are not his, releases them free and chooses Ellie over celebrity. Those are real decisions, so the objection is not that he changes nothing. The shortcut is how smoothly the film moves from a vast public deception to domestic fulfilment, with little sustained reckoning for the trust he exploited. A satisfying romantic choice is asked to settle an artistic and ethical problem that the premise made much larger.

Harper's fear of her family's judgement is carefully established, and her eventual public honesty and apology are meaningful starts. Abby has nevertheless endured repeated humiliation, including Harper's denial of their relationship. The year-later engagement allows time for repair, but largely skips showing it. The happy ending therefore depends on accepting a changed relationship in the gap, when Abby's experience has made the rebuilding of trust the central question.

Diana's own renunciation gives her appeal an emotional foundation, and Maxwell's fear for his son makes his reversal understandable. Scaling that recognition up to the world's wish-makers is the much larger leap. The broadcast produces collective surrender of desires with a speed and completeness the preceding chaos has done little to prepare. The principle is generous; the mechanism turns humanity's hardest shared problem into an almost immediate agreement.

Stopping Biosyn's locust scheme resolves a specific threat; it does not explain how people and newly widespread dinosaurs can live safely together. The closing images of dinosaurs alongside familiar wildlife supply a reassuring mood where the wider problem still needs rules, adaptation and costs. Some coexistence is already visible earlier, but the leap to this final harmony feels like a montage substituting for the difficult story the premise promised.

The five-year separation gives Solène's daughter time to grow up and honours a promise to reconsider the relationship. That makes the reunion more than a random last-minute reversal. Yet Hayes returns as a continuing public figure, and the film leaves the renewed problem of scrutiny largely outside the frame. The final meeting is only a hopeful opening, which softens the objection, but it uses elapsed time to reassure us more than changed circumstances we can examine.

The 2025 film does give Morgan and Clara an important honest conversation before reconciling them. Its neatness becomes harder to accept when the romantic payoffs converge with a late revelation of Miller's grandfather's property wealth, clearing the college-funding obstacle. The prom video and Morgan's support for Clara's acting are affectionate, but the practical route to both young people's ambitions is supplied more conveniently than it has been built.
