Backpack Hero (2023)
7.0/10on IGDB
Released
The clearest starting point if you want to arrange a bag and then make deliberate combat choices. Item positions strengthen other equipment, while different heroes change how the inventory works. Build around one item's placement condition before accepting every attractive piece of loot. Standalone runs let you focus on the dungeon; Story Mode adds a town and unlock progression. Choose this over an auto-battler if you want to decide how to spend each turn as well as how to pack.

Backpack Battles (2025)
7.7/10on IGDB
Released
Shopping and arranging are the main event, followed by automatic fights against other players' saved builds. Shapes, bag effects and the marked spaces around items make a rearrangement matter as much as a purchase. Hover over an item and read what its stars actually require before rebuilding the whole bag. There is no shop timer, and Casual offers a gentler place to experiment than Ranked. This is asynchronous PvP, so it suits patient tinkering without becoming a solo dungeon crawl.

Backpack Dungeon (2026)
Released
Choose this when you want the bag to behave like a little trigger network. Items have different shapes, and their trigger directions and linkage conditions determine which effects connect. Try following one trigger route through the layout before adding another system; an impressive item in the wrong position may contribute little. The PC version offers mouse-only play, adjustable text size and saving at any time. It asks for more attention to directional rules than simply keeping similar equipment together.

God of Weapons (2023)
4.7/10on IGDB
Released
A useful bridge between packing and active dodging. Weapons attack automatically during monster waves, then the inventory asks you to fit awkward shapes and make their placement bonuses count. Start with one weapon and an accessory whose adjacency condition you can explain, then check what you sacrifice to fit another weapon. Unlike Backpack Hero, a good layout still needs movement to survive the arena. The PC version is the straightforward recommendation here for inspecting and rearranging the grid with a mouse.

Deadly Days: Roadtrip (2026)
Released
For a livelier outing, pack weapons and support gear between fights through zombie crowds. Adjacent items can strengthen weapons, while merging and crafting make you reconsider a layout that previously fitted perfectly. Protect one useful connection when new loot arrives instead of treating every empty square as a problem. The road trip also includes fuel, extraction decisions and permanent progression at base. Choose it for action between packing sessions; local co-op shares the screen and loot, with Steam Remote Play Together also supported.

NeoDuel: Backpack Monsters (2024)
Released
The monster-collector variation: your Cosmions occupy the inventory, and their links, elemental evolutions and fusions give the packing a team-building flavour. Read a creature's link condition before assuming that putting any two neighbours together will help. Start with a small compatible group and make space for its evolution rather than collecting every appealing creature. Asynchronous PvP is the main comparison with Backpack Battles, while the single-player Elemental challenges provide a more directed way to learn counters and combinations.

Turnbound (2026)
Released
This haunted board game's inventory is a grid of equipment tiles whose effects influence the tiles around them. Shop, place and upgrade the pieces, then test the resulting build against ghosts of other players. Try changing the neighbours of one useful tile before spending on a completely new direction; hero upgrades and trinkets add further choices beyond the grid. It is asynchronous PvP with room to plan the shop phase, rather than a board game where players take live turns around a table. A PC demo makes the arrangement loop easy to try first.

Oaken Tower (2026)
Released
An adjacent choice in both senses: equipment occupies a vertical tower rather than a backpack. Above, below and neighbouring-item effects turn its order into the build, so moving a support item can redirect a whole chain. Follow one directional effect through the tower before pursuing an elaborate combination. Choose Casual while learning rather than measuring every experiment against the ranked ladder. This is an online asynchronous auto-battler in Early Access, with unlockable perks and balance changes; it is not a finished solo packing puzzle.
